Hillsborough disaster must be remembered
TODAY is the 19th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster and it goes without saying that my thoughts are with the families of the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives on April 15, 1989.
What happened that terrible day is something that we should never forget and although time has moved on it is vital that we never lose sight of the causes of the disaster so something like that can never happen again.

I`m an Arsenal fan but I would like to pay my respects to the 96 supporters who lost their lives 19 years ago. They will always be remembered not only by Liverpool fans but all fans no matter what team they support.RIP
How Time flies. That day still feels like yesterday. A Normal day that turned into one of the saddest days Liverpool knows...
Keep Holding your heads up high Liverpool... for you'll never walk alone..
Time has always stood still for me whenever I remember what happened that day. Such a tragic loss of life, for the Team that we loved. The 96 will never be forgotten, justice will prevail..........Eternal rest to the fallen.
Id just like to pay my respects for the fans that died,im a FOREST fan though and though, but why arrange a match with celtic who had nothing to do with the match?im sure all my friends that attended that match, who are still overcome with it all like most of the other 40 thousand odd supporters, would like a hillsborough match, we had players like stu pearce, des walker, nigel clough just to name a few, infact prob just as good as celtic in my eyes!its got nothing to do with celtic it was Forest v liverpool thats the way it should stay and be remembered. at the end of the day that was the match that the 96 people who past away went to see.god bless all of them xxxxxxxxx
Julie, I think the reason is that we(Celtic) invited Liverpool to Glasgow for a memeorial game days after the disaster so that they could play themselves back into football, but away from Liverpool. Speak to many Liverpool fans about that game, and I am sure that they will say that this has a lot to do with Celtic now (including our continuing support for the campaign for justice for the 96). The game next year will feature players from that first memorial game.
I was not even six when this happined but can rememba the news n the sadness about the place at the time i did'nt realy understand it all tho but knew it was'nt gud only when i was abit older did it sink in what effect it had on friens family n our city n club they will never be forgotten
YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE
I lost my brother Mike, it is nice to see all the messages of support that we still have. I have always supported celtic. so it is great to still have the support from Glasgo, look forward to the game next year.
And thanks to everyone for the tremendous turnout on the 15th, as usual a tremendous show of strength.
God bless you all.
