Hillsborough For 'Dummies' - Facts Behind The Disaster

Amidst the maelstrom of issues surrounding our great club at present, it is vital not to lose sight of arguably the most important of them all, the ongoing fight for justice for the 96.
As the 19th anniversary of that horrific day in Sheffield approaches, a new vehicle has been launched to counter the swathes of misinformation about the disaster that sadly remain commonly-held beliefs around the country and beyond, as well as providing a means of educating those that are unaware or unsure about what actually happened.
It has been painstakingly put together after consultation with the Coroner in Sheffield, the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, the Hillsborough Family Support Group, Phil Scraton, Anne Williams and a range of survivors and takes the format of a 15-page 'long' version and a 4-page 'shorter' version, both of which are downloadable.
There is also a 10 minute slideshow video that contains some images that some people might find distressing. The creators of the site are particularly keen that survivors be aware that scenes of the crowds in the pens might trigger flashbacks. Personal discretion is advised.

This is essential reading/viewing for anyone who is unclear about what occured on 15th April 1989, but particularly for the ever-growing band of Reds at home or abroad who didn't live through those dark days.
If you know anyone, whether they claim to be a Liverpool fan or not, who buys into the myths generated by the police and right-wing media in the aftermath of the disaster or simply does not realise what a fundamental importance this has to our football club, then point them in the direction of this website.
Of all the victories we have notched up since the club was founded, none will have been more important as the one, please God, we will one day claim in achieving justice for the 96.

Une grande tragédie...dans un monde qui nous faisait rever. Une pensée a toutes les familles qui j'espere arriveront un jour à accepter l'inaxeptable. Amitiées de france
I may now live on the other side of the world but my thoughts will always be with the families of those who died on that tragic day.
My own personal experiences that I witnessed on that day will always be with me and my fellow supportes.
May we never forget those events and persist in seeking the truth and justice for those who lost their lives on 15/4/1989.
You'll never walk alone!
I now live in Australia and to this day there is not a single day that passes where my thoughts don't go back to that sunny disastrous day in Sheffield . I will never forget the trauma of being there and the absolute untruths that were banded about in the media in the aftermath . The whole fiasco was a cover up of the highest order where people in positions of authority have abused their positions in our society . UNFORGIVEABLE !!!
