Ham-fisted way to fly a Kuyt
THE most baffling transfer rumour of the summer suggested Rafa Benitez had been willing to accept an offer from Hamburg for Dirk Kuyt, only for the proposed deal to be halted by Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
Kuyt remains a key part of Benitez's planning for the coming season and not only have no offers been made for the Dutchman's services, none are being sought.

damn you hillbillies!!! kuyt is a mediocre player and is suitable for a mediocre team like tottenham or Feyenoord. he is hard working but that doesn't win you trophies. he is not fast and creative enough to be a winger at liverpool. i know he is a dutch international but there are many other players that would be better than kuyt as a right winger or right midfield (eg: dos santos, ben arfa, silva, nasri, ronaldinho) just to name a few.
PS: we could have bought dos santos and ben arfa b4 they went to their current respective clubs !!! why didn't we????
i totally agree with you sam b. kuyt ain't good enough for liverpool. so as voronin, pennant and benayoun
