A sign of Champions?

What an amazing comeback yesterday at the City of Manchester Stadium, 2-0 down at half time and who would have thought we would come back and win the game 3-2?

Now i'm not going to start getting carried away, after all were only 7 games into the new season, but already so far this season weve shown great character to come from behind on numerous occasions, 4 to be precise, and there seems to be a growing belief in that Liverpool dressing room that we can seriously mount a genuine title challenge this season.

Its obviously a great help when you've got players in the calibre of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, who in my opinion are 2 of the world's best footballers, not just in England, but the work ethic of the team to fight they're way back from the brink is very pleasing indeed. A special mention must go out to Dirk Kuyt so far this season, he is much maligned as a Liverpool player and i'll admit, he isn't my favourite player either

but he works tirelessly for this Liverpool team and has reaped some rewards so far this season, for it was he whom scored the goal that enabled us to progress through to the Group Stages of the Champions League with a late Extra Time winner against the impressive Standard Liege, he also got the ball rolling the other night at Anfield against the Dutch Champions, Psv. Now a last gasp winner against Manchester City to end his goal drought of 10 long hard months in the Premier League without a goal.

The injury to Martin Skrtel soured yesterday's victory, news that he's injured his knee, posterior cruciate knee ligament damage to be accurate, and he could face up to 6 months out, hopefully less than this but its now time for a forgotten man to step up to the plate, namely Daniel Agger. The great Dane was out for majority of last season with recurrence after recurrence of a metatarsal injury, there's been plenty of recent speculation about Spanish giants Real Madrid being interested in his services come January, but now's the time for Agger to make his mark and prove he still has a future at the club. I've every faith in him that he will produce the goods alongside Jamie Carragher and lets not forget we have big Sami waiting in the wings aswell if need be.

You require a big squad if you're to seriously make a title challenge, i believe we have this now, with 2 players in virtually every position in the squad, who can come in and do just as good a job as the next man. This is why i think Liverpool have a great chance this season of claiming number 19, you have to work hard for things in life and that's exactly what Liverpool are doing at present in the Premier League to maintain our position at the top of the Premier League with Chelsea and long may it continue.

After all, you've been chasing our record trophy haul for nearly 20 years now & you still HAVEN'T managed to topple us.

What was it Fergie said when he first took over at the Theatre of wet dreams?..."I want to knock Liverpool off they're f**kin perch"???

Not yet im afraid, keep trying...

What are you doing on a Liverpool forum Wilko? Maybe for the same reason your fans sing about us whether you're playing in the Nou Camp or Northampton - you're obsessed with us!!!

Answer me this, how many times have Liverpool won the Premier League?

Will you be coming to the home of the Double CHAMPIONS this season or watching it from your armchair in Devon?

Football was invented before 1992 Wilko!! And we can't be "scouse scum" and come from Devon at the same time - the 2 places are further apart than your first 2 European Cups and your 7th and 8 league titles were. Mind you - Geography has never been United fans' strong point. How many years did you sing about Kevin Keegan being a "sad Geordie b*****d?"

Wilko 17@3 said:

Lets just say your comical Jim, infact comical isn't the right word to use, more historical. Bcoz that's what your club is. Speak to me in May and we'll see what you've won then, probably the mickey mouse cup, you fakers! Ha Ha Ha, those loveable scousers, go an root through a bin for your supper! Ha Ha Ha

Park Park wherever you may be, you eat dog in your own country, could have been worse you could have been a scouse, eating dead rats from your council house!

Ha Ha

Is funny how your barren 26 years have been air-brushed from history!!! We will indeed see who wins what in May. We'll win the league again one day lad, be assured of that, just like your lot were certain during the 70s and 80s you'd eventually win it again. You could be 25-18 up on us in a decade's time but I bet my life your fans will still be singing about us every week!

Wilko 17@3 said:

Your right kid, we will make it 25-18, United are have got more chance winning 7 more than you scroungers becoming CHAMPIONS of England ever again. You better believe it sunshine! Now f**k off back to your squat and inject yourself.

Wilko 17@3 said:

Come on then, who wants some, SCOUSE RATS! ha ha

JayRiley said:

Oh very mature, how old are you Wilko?

I did think you were quite constructive with some of your posts, give or take a few p1*s takes here and there, but you've just shown yourself up to be nothing more than a young child.

Your not one of these Cyber hoolies are you, probably a 12 year old boy sitting in his room with 3 pages open on the internet 1) for United, 2) for the scousers, 3) youporn...with the door firmly closed over whilst mummy is sitting downstairs waiting for daddy to return home from a long hard day at work.

Do yourself a favour and grow up, either that or go and waste somebody elses time on a Manchester United forum talking about how you've just "taken it to the scousers"...get into the real world little boy and please return to your own forums.
