Far Post: Bolton v Liverpool in bits
JORDAN'S BOOB
IT'S around this time last year that Liverpool's internal fighting escalated into a full-on brawl when Tom Hicks admitted he had sounded out Jurgen Klinsmann about the manager's job.
And similar fears that he and co-owner George Gillett had been at their headhunting best surfaced again on Wednesday night when Rafael Benitez's seat was filled by another coach.
It would hardly have been the most popular choice at Anfield either - former Manchester United striker Joe Jordan, who took his seat next to Sammy Lee among the Liverpool staff.
But it was only when Jordan looked round to discuss tactics with his bench that he realised he was inadvertently tipping off the opposition.
The Scot then swiftly rejoined Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, who appointed him as his assistant to resurrect their Portsmouth coaching team last month.
Seems Jordan is still getting used to the place - and it's hardly surprising Benitez had vacated his seat in the dugout given the performance his players were putting in on the night.
WORDS OF WISDOM
"Hull's manager was on the television commenting about how we would play and go with one up front but he was wrong.
"We had two up front and played in an entirely different manner to the one he was describing."
Gary Megson - letting the 'Ginger Mourinho' chants go to his head after 'outwitting' Phil Brown to beat Hull 1-0
BET ON IT
STEVEN GERRARD has scored more goals against Jussi Jaaskelainen than any other keeper.
He has hit five past the Finnish keeper and the Bolton man even managed to push one of the Liverpool captain's shots into his own net last season.
Therefore, Gerrard looks a decent bet to do so again.
Gerrard to score first (13-2 totesport, Boylesports, Paddy Power, Skybet), to score last (13-2 totesport, Boylesports, Paddy Power, Skybet), to score anytime (9-4 William Hill, Paddy Power)
