The aftermath of what went on at White Hart Lane is still ongoing, just how Liverpool contrived to lose that game is anyone's guess, never this season has there been such a one sided game of football, yet we are counting the cost of 3 dropped points, which was daylight robbery!

Its a big test now as to how the players react to they're first defeat of the campaign, our next 6 Premier League games are all very winnable. We face West Brom at Anfield, then an away trip to the Reebok stadium to face lowly Bolton, we follow that up with 2 home games against Fulham and West Ham, then travel to Ewood Park to play Blackburn, then finally in this 6 league game cycle we face Premier League pretenders Hull City at Anfield...6 games, 18 points very obtainable and if we are serious about being genuine title contenders, then 18 points is what we shall get.

Now i know i shouldn't get carried away, take 1 game at a time etc, etc...but its now imperative that we gain maximum points from these 6 games, as we then face Arsenal at the Emirates right on top of Christmas, so the games prior to that need to be victories so we have momentum and confidence going into that clash.

A lot depends on how the players react to this setback now, to perform so well yet lose the game at the Lane, is difficult to swallow, it may well effect the players in the sense that they will feel as if they couldnt have done much more to gain the 3 points at the weekend, missed chances and a lot of misfortune cost us and we really need to start killing teams off or what occurred at White Hart Lane will happen again, Torres is very close to a return and hopefully he will be the man to score the goals to kill these sides off, weve done very well without the Spanish superstar but we welcome him back with open arms as we are a much more dangerous outfit with him in the side.

In between the 6 mentioned league games we have 3 Champions League games and a League Cup tie at the White Hart Lane, 2 of the Champions League ties are at Anfield, starting tomorrow with the visit of Atletico Madrid, we then play host to Marseille, with Psv being the last game when the group will more than likely be already sorted.

so all in all, out next 10 matches comprise of 6 home games, 2 very local away games and 2 games were im sure the big players will be rested at Tottenham in the League Cup and Psv in the Champions League. So no excuses as far as im concerned, we have to be looking at winning majority of them games if not all, that may seem harsh but that's just how i see it, that's my opinion and im eagerly awaiting the players response and attitude to our first setback of the season.

Over to you Rafa and the boys...

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. What a load of tosh!!!! Tottenham beat you fair and square. If you score goals you win games. No matter how much possession you have or how many chances you create it's all about scoring goals. Tottenham deserved to win as they scored more goals.

Colin, what was the purpose of that comment?i havent seen anyone on here saying we had more possession or deserved to win.
Once again a typical blue with nothing better to do than comment on our games when your team is already out..

Phil, his response was actually about the league game we lost at the Lane that i was referring to not last night's cup shambles...but you are right, he is a typical blue with nothing better to do but comment on our games, he's as bitter as they come believe you me.

Phil said:

Yeh he is a bitter. He is right though in stating the obvious if you score goals you win games. He seems really intelligent. If that his motto then he cant complain about our apparently ''lucky'' wins with last minute goals.because you score goals you win games..
