Liverpool FC players visit Alder Hey hospital
LIVERPOOL FC stars spread a little festive cheer around the wards of Alder Hey children's hospital yesterday.
Liverpool's first-team squad took time out from their training schedule for Sunday's match with Arsenal to play Santa.
Carrying sacks, they handed out gifts to children excited at coming face to face with their heroes.
The players were split into two groups and spent a few hours making their way around the wards, where they chatted to their young fans.
They posed for pictures and signed autographs for the youngsters - many of whom will be spending Christmas in hospital.
Rafa's stars, including Reds skipper Steven Gerrard, Bootle-born defender Jamie Carragher, and Irish striker Robbie Keane, said they wanted to make Christmas dreams come true.
