Liverpool FC show support for Michael Shields

LIVERPOOL stars have shown their support of jailed football fan Michael Shields.
Players wore T-shirts with the words Free Michael Now as they warmed up ahead of last night's clash against West Ham.
It was to send a message to Justice Secretary Jack Straw ahead of Michael's judicial review on Thursday.
The 22-year-old's parents Marie and Michael snr were joined on the touchline by former Brookside actress Sue Johnson.
She told the crowd: "Firstly I would like to thank the West Ham fans and the Liverpool fans for supporting Michael Shields.
"He was 18 when he celebrated Liverpool's famous win in Istanbul and was wrongfully imprisoned.
"People are calling on the judicial review on December 4 and Jack Straw to do the right thing and release Michael now."
Michael, from Wavertree, was convicted of the attempted murder of a barman in Bulgaria days after the 2005 European Cup Final. He is not scheduled for release until May 2010. The review is to determine whether the British justice system has the power to release him earlier.

Should be a gooden were playing the "Ian Huntley is a cracker fella 11." Cos they were in bed too. Just a thought seeing as how they seem to be pushing the boat out for convicts who in the words of Edmond Blackadder is "As guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of Poo."
