Speaking with the Enemy: Arsenal v Liverpool

HOWARD LAMB, columnist and letters editor of The Gooner fanzine, gives us the lowdown on the opposition.

It's been a turbulent start to the season for Arsenal, can you still win the Premier League?

It hasn't gone very well and our youth policy has proved pretty disappointing. I've a feeling the kids will start playing again but realistically we won't win it. We should be in the top four, though Aston Villa are a threat.

Is Arsene Wenger still the right man for the job?

He's got to be given more of a chance, though I appreciate a lot of fans have lost patience with him because he seems stuck in his ways and refuses to buy new players.

Who should Wenger sign in the transfer window?

Xabi Alonso, though David Villa has been mentioned and who would turn him down?

Who has been your star man this season?

We only have one star - Cesc Fabregas.

If you have one Liverpool player at the Emirates, with the exception of Torres and Gerrard, who would you sign?

I've mentioned Alonso because Cesc (Fabregas) needs someone to support him and bolster the midfield. Javier Mascherano would also be good.

What will be the score on Saturday?

I think we'll win because Liverpool have been woeful in front of goal lately. It'll probably be 2-1.
