Speaking with the Enemy: Blackburn v Liverpool

What do you think of Blackburn's start to the season?

It's not been very good. We started well in the first five or six games and then we plummeted.

We're now second from bottom, just two points ahead of West Brom.

Is Paul Ince the right man for the job?

I think so. They should give him more time, though I've heard there will be a meeting of the trustees in the next few days to discuss the club's future.

They must at least give him some money in January and then see where we are a few games after that.

Who is your star man?

There isn't one this season. The team has been changing so much that it's difficult to pick one player. They've all been very average, nobody has stood out.

With the exception of Torres and Gerrard, which Liverpool player would you sign for Rovers?

I like the look of Albert Riera. He didn't do anything at Manchester City but has been pretty good for Liverpool.

We need a winger, desperately, and he'd do a job for us.

Blackburn have performed well against Liverpool in recent years. How do you see Saturday's match going?

I'd be very happy with a draw, but to be honest I think Liverpool will win, probably 2-0.

We've already played three of the so-called top four at home this season and lost to them all - confidence is so low that I can't see this being any different.

Where do you think Blackburn will finish this season? Is relegation a real prospect?

At this point in time I'd be delighted if we finished 17th and survived so we can build for the future.

We have some skilful young players coming through but Ince seems keen on playing more experienced men and battlers to get us out of this mess.
