If Kenny wants the managers job permanently then he has my vote
Seeing Kenny Dalglish coming out of the tunnel at Old Trafford on Sunday was a one of the best things I've seen as a Liverpool supporter for a long, long time. It was fantastic. Seeing him smiling, arms raised, gave me a true sense that finally a new direction and purpose had just begun at Anfield. Things were going to be alright.
Dalglish's selfless commitment to the well-being and success of Liverpool is something truly unique, something to be treasured and something no other manager can offer. It's a priceless commodity.
His influence on the squad was immediate. The team played with purpose and desire, a total transformation to what we had witnessed at Blackburn. His savvy to make substitutions at the right time was exact and nearly bore fruit.
Realistically Dalglish will need time to turn Liverpool's fortunes around but he will receive the support of everyone as they know he has the desire and ability to get it right in the end.
Kenny himself is treating his return realistically "We have got to manage expectations. At the moment its a wee bit romantic, to be honest," said Dalglish
"The romance is brilliant, it's romantic for me to be back, and it's a wee bit romantic for some of the supporters as well. But at the end of the day this game isn't built on romance, it's built on hard facts. And the hard fact of the matter is we have got to start winning games. Once we get the romantics out of the road we can get to work and see what happens from there."
Welcome back King Kenny. The fact is stay as long as you like.
