Ryan Babel sums it up: Webb should have worn a United shirt
Once again Howard Webb showed his true colours and favoured Man Utd with two critical decisions against Liverpool in the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford on Sunday. A dive by Berbatov in the penalty box (yes he dived!) and a Steven Gerrard sending off (a yellow at best) tipped the balance in favour of Utd. In spite of this, Liverpool matched United even with 10 men.
Webb has a history of making decisions against Liverpool. He gave a penalty to Man Utd last season (Click Here) when a foul was committed outside the box and in February denied Liverpool a last-minute penalty against Arsenal when Febregas clearly handled the ball from a free-kick on the edge of the box.
Ryan Babel is now in hot water with the FA for posting a justifiable image of Webb in a United shirt (above). Instead of taking action against Babel maybe the FA should review the two decisions more carefully and take action against Webb.

Webb gave de jong a yellow for a two footed ninja kick to Alonso's chest, yet a red card for Gerrard for that! Bias Prat!! Penalty was embarrassing too.
Well done Ryan Babel!!! Babel is gonna be in trouble for telling the truth. The FA are criminal themselve if they don't discipline Webb for the crime he has committed!!! The funny thing is that the FA will do F@ck all and most probably give Webb a payrise and get him an MBE!!! Webb screwed up the final of the world cup and they let a man like him referee a match like Manu v Liverpool. The FA is an embarsement to this country when they allow people Like Webb to determine the out come of a game as important as Manu v Liverpool!!! There's no justice in this world and poor Babel will get punished when it should be Webb who should be punished!!

After smashing Man Utd last year at Old Traf this is on par- a 10 man Liverpool matching the more fancied rivals with only a charity goal the difference. 2 questions- why was Berbasloth not penalised for diving- massive over reaction with that Stevie G sendoff. Personally happy with result considering the circumstances.

Webb also did not discipline Fletcher at OT v Arsenal when the player ran 30 yards and pushed him. Also, did not send off Vidic for text book professional foul in Carling Cup final when Villa player clean through on goal. Webb is a cheating incompetent almost week in week out and yet he keeps his job earning earning in excess of ã60k a year. Doubt he'll get a game at Anfield for a while though obviously expect him for the visit of his darling Man U.
Listen I am a spurs fan and cant stand Webb neither he always favours United.
But Gerrards was a sending off he went in two footed never won the ball and it was a dangerous tackle, I personally think he was too fired up and just slightly misstimed it but it was a red, Aggers was the faintest push and Berbatovs dived.
I must say though Man Utd should/could have won 6nil, you had 1 free kick on goal second half other than that you were happy to lose 1-0.
I think its time you blame the players (Kuyt, Torres, Gerrard etc) instead of everyone else, Webb included. Hodgson gone now cant blame him nomore

if sending off SG was ok, then why wasn't Rafael sent off after tackling Raul M? only difference was that Rafael did it jumping in with straight legs, and not like SG, sliding???
Think that it has nothing to do whether SG sending off was ok or not, but the mere fact that Webb favours manure beyond other teams.
however i agree that manure was the best team on the day, but also that the best thing was to see King K make changes early in the game. Something Woy Wobson never did.

webb , many seems to have forgotten the mistakes you committed on the world cup final.
he should have consulted the linesman who had a better view of the "tackle".

Im a liverpool fan but what jay says is right. And Rafaels tackle was completely different. Gerrard went in with no control and studs showing, it was an awful tackle. I think the problem was that RM pulled out of the 50/50 with Rafael and Gerrard wanted to show him the conviction he should have had.
Jay is also right in what he says about the team, they are simply not good enough, Torres needs to wake up, he has had his head in the sand for well over a year now.
Would like to mention Kelly, what a player he seems to be. Id have him starting at right back and Johnson in the middle of the park when fit, should help shore some of the holes that are currently in the Squad.
