WELL, that was an emotional rollercoaster Alton Towers would be proud of. An unbelievable game that showed the spirit of this Liverpool team.
To come back again and again proves that these players really are hungry for the title. The celebrations of the winner epitomised that.
Interesting how people are still having a go at us in the media when Manchester United would be hailed for their resilience if it was they who came back.
AFTER another draw we are still left wondering if the class of 2009 really are the real deal or not; yes the draw specialists are resilient but have they really got that cutting edge to go on and win one or more trophies?
You can't fault them in getting level in this game but once they pulled it back they seemed to drop down a gear.
To win trophies you need ability and desire in equal measures, some-times I really wonder if we have enough of the latter.
TAKE two on this fixture and a real chance to give the fans something back.
The last two league games have been absolutely shocking where after the beauty of the Bolton and Newcastle displays along come the ugly of Stoke and Everton.
This Jekyll and Hyde show is becoming a real concern, and when confidence is king in the Premier League we sadly look well short in that department.
ANOTHER week and it's been anything but quiet at Anfield Close; I'm surprised LFC TV isn't surpassing Coronation Street and Eastenders in the ratings, such are the twists and turns (the title race), the will-he, won't-he? saga (Daniel Agger) and now most recently the no-love triangle (Rafa Benitez, Rick Parry and the owners).
This title race looks like it's going to go down to the wire this year with the loss of every point hurting more and more.
The Stoke game was such uncomfortable viewing and had so many under-performers.
LIVERPOOL march on as another historically difficult fixture is dealt with, but boy they made hard work of it.
The amount of chances that we squander is starting to concern me, and these long periods with a slender lead can be excruciating. Coupled with the woodwork and posts conspiring against us and you get the feeling we are going to come unstuck soon as proved in the Spurs league fixture.
Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard were the offenders on Saturday. I am happy with Robbie's contribution but it was a horrible miss and I thought after his brace against West Brom that he would really start to take off. !
