CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEASON 2009/2010
Here we go again the Champions League is upon us once more. The highs and lows of European football are about to become part of my life again.
I had not realised that the draw was as close as this morning until it was announced on the radio yesterday.
Waking up this morning I knew that I would be joining in with the rest of the office, wondering who would get online quickest and who would be one to let everyone know.
Here we ago I thought, working in an office full of Arsenal and Chelsea fans I love to watch their reactions. Reading the paper this morning I realised that the draw would take place after I had left for the evening. I contacted a friend to text me on the way home, sorry he said I am working late Oh well I thought I shall have to be patient.
As luck would have it, the train was cancelled and I arrived home slightly later than planned, went straight online and the draw was there. Mmm I thought this could be interesting, Lyon Fiorentina and newcomers Debreceni VSC. We have a good selection of games to start the competition. Will they become part of the Anfield legend of great European nights, or games that we will all want to forget. Only time will tell and I look forward to watching and enjoying every moment of it.
There is one certain fact - fate will surely step in yet again and ensure that we play Chelsea.
