Alvaro Arbeloa transfer a done deal

ALVARO ARBELOA will complete his move to Real Madrid today and Andrea Dossena is on the verge of a return to Italy.

The Spanish right-back will make the switch to the Bernabeu after Liverpool agreed a fee of around £3.5million.

Arbeloa, who began his career at Real, flew to Spain following the Reds' Far East tour to undergo a medical and will sign a four-year contract.


RAFA BENITEZ admits he doesn't know if Xabi Alonso will ever pull on a Liverpool shirt again.

The Spanish midfielder, who has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, made his first appearance of pre-season as a late substitute in yesterday's 5-0 victory over Singapore.
