Are you listening now Mr. Henry?
Like the majority of Liverpool supporters I was delighted when NESV purchased the club. Finally, intelligent, savvy business people who knew how to create a winning sports team. Within hours of taking ownership John Henry's mantra was he and his team were going to listen to Liverpool supporters and learn.
My question is: "Are you listening now Mr. Henry?"
Roy Hodgson's appointment as manager was surprising to say the least. Many felt he was likely a stop gap while the ownership situation was sorted out as no manager of any pedigree would accept the job without knowing the future of the club. However, I for one was willing to give him a chance to prove what he was capable of. That was the right & fair thing to do. But now we have the proof and it's not good, in fact it's disastrous and so John Henry and Tom Werner et al need to show they are listening to the collective voice of the Liverpool supporters and act quickly.
Roy Hodgson isn't the right manager to take Liverpool forward. Instead of blaming the greatest supporters of any sports team in the world, never mind Liverpool, Hodgson needs to take responsibility for the current situation and move on but most importantly NESV need to show us they are the real deal and do what's best for Liverpool FC and act now.

Yes Mr Rinstead, I agree with you 100%. I am dissapointed with the lame duck approach taken by the owners so far. The problem is they are making decisions based on general business wisdom rather than an intuitive knowledge of the game. We the fans, knew from the very start, no matter how long Woy is given the chance, he would fail. NESV, on the other hand, say, lets wait till we know for sure. WHy? Because they dont understand the game, they dont know the nuances, thats the problem....
I agree that Henry & Co is taking a little too long to realise what is wrong with our beloved club. It will be disastrous if this inaction lead to a talent drain as well as inability to attract good signings.
Hodgson is a nice man but good enough only for a mid-table team. The body language shows that he is running out of ideas and losing the plot. Although Benitez is confrontational, he is definitely a better tactician. At least, he delivered the Champions League. Even Houllier or Thompson is capable of achievement at top levels.
Hogdson must come to terms with himself and get over it.
Perhaps, Henry & Co is already aware. I believe Henry & Co is on a football learning curve and, although they have spoken to potential managers, they have not been able to decide who and when.
This is why Hodgson finds it difficult to spend on players. Owners do not want the current manager to buy players who may not be wanted by a new manager.
It always makes me wonder why anyone would spend in excess of 300 million pounds to buy anything and watch it rot. The value of LFC is fast eroding so much that commercial and endorsement deals may no longer be attractive.
I trust that Henry & Co know what they are doing. The change will certainly come sooner rather than later.
Cheers. Ken from Singapore..
Just for the record, I would like to see Hodgson go now before the club implodes but I think you are being unfair to NESV. What do you expect them to do now? How do you know that they are not doing something behind the scenes?
I have signed the fans petition but do you expect them to sack him because thousands want him out? They have to show a backbone, because if they give in now they will be faced with a new petition every week!
Hodgson has to go, but who is available to take us forward right now? Every decent manager is already at a top club. If they sack Hodgson now, maybe we will get Allardyce - he is available!!!!
By turning on the supporters, he has signed his own death warrant, but the last thing we want is a knee jerk reaction. Don't allow Hodgson to recruit any one in January, save the transfer kitty and start scouring for a top class manager and build for next year, providing we don't look like going down.
However, give NESV a chance to sort it out - they're not idiots. Time will tell, but after all its their money thats been invested, and no one elses. If they get it wrong then the club won't be worth £300M and I think they know it
You fella, was one of Royston's greatest advocates in your obscene haste to get rid of Rafa. You along with others (as predicted) are now reaping what you disgustingly sowed last season along with the other "two-faced" freshian Fulcher. I find it laughable that now you "wash your hands" of the situation when any knowledable LFC fan knew from the outset that Roy was never the man to replace Rafa (who shouldn't have gone in the first place -Ta Purslow Carra and little Stevie- and all of this was eminently predictable. except for the idiots and Talksport WUM's among us...
